BJCA Cardiology to the Core

The Cardiology to the Core: BJCA Spring Meeting 2018 will take place on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22 April at the Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel.

This meeting is open to all BJCA members. This year's talks will be built using the core cardiology curriculum and key facts from the current guidelines will be reviewed. All talks will be supported by "best of five" questions. This meeting will be especially useful for senior registrars and is free to attend.

This meeting has been organised by the BJCA and is funded by Bayer. Bayer has no influence over the content or agenda of the meeting.

There are a limited number of places available which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We therefore ask for a cheque of £100 to secure your place which will be returned to you upon your registered attendance at the meeting.

By rail:
The Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel is approximately a nine-minute drive from Hinckley train station. Nuneaton station is on the main line to London Euston, connections to Hinckley train station are available.

By road:
The Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel is situated on Watling Street, 200 metres south of the M69, making it easily accessible by car.

Coventry is just a twenty-minute drive from the Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel or a twenty-five-minute drive from Leicester. The Hotel is also easily accessible from Birmingham, which is a thirty-five-minute drive.

The M1 motorway lies 14.5 kilometres east of the hotel with easy access from the M6 and A5. A car park is available on site.

There is no charge to attend this meeting. However due to popular demand, a cheque for £100 made payable to 'Bamboo Medical Communications' is required to secure your place at the meeting. Your cheque will not be processed and will be returned to you upon your attendance at the meeting. However, if you fail to attend without notifying us before 6th April 2018, your cheque will be processed as a cancellation fee. Please note that due to limited places at this meeting, your place is not confirmed until we notify you that we have recieved your cheque.

Yes. A car park is located on site at no cost.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and refreshment breaks will be provided during the meeting. Any additional snacks or drinks outside the refreshments and meals will need to be paid for by yourself.

As this is a two-day meeting, accommodation is offered for the evening of Saturday 21st April. Please select this option when registering if you require accommodation. Should you require additional accommodation before or after the meeting, you will need to book and pay for this directly with the hotel.

It is important that you let us know of your situation should you not be able to attend this meeting so that your place can be assigned to another delegate. Please contact the meeting secretariat if you need to cancel your place.

We will inform training programme directors of any registrants who do not attend without sufficient notice.

Unfortunately, CPD accreditation has not been applied for this meeting.

This meeting is very popular and places are allocated on a first come, first served basis to those who have registered and secured their place with a cheque. Once registration is full, delegates will be placed on a waiting list in order of registration and will be contacted if a place becomes available. Cancellations are usually likely to happen closer to the meeting, so you may be contacted at short notice. If you have been placed on the waiting list, you do not need to send a cheque until requested to do so.
